Boesch Oil SentinelThe Boesch Oil Sentinel is used in elevator sump pits, transformer vaults and industrial sumps to remove water while retaining oil and other hydrocarbons. There is no need for an oil-water separator.

"The drain or sump pump discharge shall be into the sanitary or storm drainage system through an indirect waste connection. In elevators provided with Firefighters' Emergency Operation, a drain or sump pump shall be provided. The sump pump/drain shall have the capacity to remove a minimum of 3,000 gal/h per elevator (50 GPM)." As the sump is filling, the oil will float on top of the water. This layer of oil will not be pumped from the tank. The water underneath the oil will be pumped out through the discharge pipe to the sewer or other proper disposal area.
